About Us.

Higher Hendra is a working organic family farm. We farm 280 acres with arable, beef and sheep. Close to the North Cornwall Coast with the coastal footpath adjacent to the entrance. Our cottages were once the farm barn, stables and work buildings. They are built with local stone and Delabole slate. Each barn has been carefully converted to expose original beams and natural stone work features. Granite floor cobbles from the stables have been re-laid outside. All four cottages are furnished and well equipped. Prices include bed linen, towels (not for beach) heating and lighting. We accept well behaved dogs, except in the Wagon House due to the flooring. Please remember your dogs bedding!

Nearest beach is Port Gaverne - 2 miles

Nearest shops and amenities are Port Isaac, Delabole and St. Teath

- all within 2 ½ miles.

Nearest pub/restaurant - Cornish Arms, Pendoggett - 1 mile

Ideal for touring with the coast and moors not far away. Tintagel, Boscastle, Rock, Polzeath, Wadebridge, Padstow and Camelford all within easy driving. Just a little further to visit the Eden project and the many beautiful gardens and properties of Cornwall.

HENDRA BARN  has 2 en suite bedrooms downstairs. 1 bedroom has a double bed plus single bed. The other has twin beds, which can also be a super-king bed. Upstairs has an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. TV, DVD, CD/radio. The kitchen has electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Also upstairs is a wc and basin. There is a washer/dryer in the cottage. Sleeps 4/5

WAGON HOUSE, which is new for Spring 2007, is deceptively spacious with low-beamed ceilings upstairs in the sitting room and twin bedded room with en suite. Downstairs is a master bedroom with ensuite, 2^nd bedroom and a family bathroom. The kitchen is in oak with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. A separate dining room has doors which open onto a patio and into the garden. This lovely conversion has all oak and slate floors. Sleeps 6.

Our other two properties are WHEEL LODGE which has one double bedroom and is fully self- catering, and COBBLE COURT which sleeps 2/4. Cobble Court has disabled access with a large double bedroom on the ground floor. A minstrel staircase leads up to the small bedroom which has a single bed and a stow-a-way, this room has sloping ceilings with a roof light. Price on asking for these two properties.
